The firm was formed in 1988 on the merger of Moore & Price and Thompson & Co - both long established Spalding Chartered Accounting firms.

The Moore & Price practice, established over eighty years ago, was originally known as Stephenson Smart & Co. In the first forty years of the 20th century, Joseph Stephenson, the founder member of the practice established over thirty practices from a head office in Peterborough.

The Thompson & Co practice began in 1935 when Reg Thompson and Arnold Smith formed a partnership to take over a practice which, until then, had been carried on by Cooper-Parry, Hall, Doughty and Co., a Derby firm. The partners supervised the Spalding branch of the Trustee Savings Bank and for many years had their offices above the bank's Market Place premises.

Today, we practice from offices in Broad Street, Spalding providing services to many businesses, not only in the town itself, but also in the surrounding areas. Recently, we have integrated our practice with the practice formerly known as W J Ground and Co whose offices are situated at Broadgate House in Spalding.
